Our direct entry roles offer the opportunity
to work alongside experienced professionals within a specific
business area. You will be entering a challenging and stimulating
environment and from day one you will be immersed in this
fascinating business. An “on-the-job” training programme is coupled
with a structured development programme as we seek to equip you
with industry knowledge and expand your technical skills to
progress your career. These roles offer the chance to make a real
contribution at an early stage while receiving the support needed
to understand the complexity of the business.
Successful candidates will be educated to
degree level (min 2:1 or equivalent) and demonstrate excellent
numerical and verbal skills. The ability to communicate fluently in
English is essential. Additional languages are an advantage,
especially Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.
Business Areas
- Deals Desk
Deals Desk
Analysts are responsible for removing outright price and spread
risk on all our physical businesses by entering into hedges on
appropriate derivatives exchanges. Additionally they are
responsible for marking all physical trading books against the
current market to ensure independent and transparent forward
profitability forecasting and clear communication of the market
risks within each book to Traders and Senior Management.
- Operations
Traffic
Operators are responsible for all aspects of executing physical
shipments. Responsibilities include but are not limited to
logistics, hedging, profit and loss issuance and risk
mitigation.
- Trade
Finance
Trade Finance Operators are responsible
for the financing of all Trafigura’s physical non-ferrous business
including the timely issuance or receipt of trade finance
instruments, whilst developing banking lines, optimising costs and
controlling credit and commercial risks.
